Zostel Ooty

Pros: Really liked the dormitory concept at Zostel Ooty. It’s a great place for solo travelers to meet new people and share travel experiences. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable.

Good and cheap !

Pros: The place is located only 900m away from the bus stand (uphill) which was very convenient to reach the city center. It's clean, the food is good for what I had and the coffee was surprisingly very good and strong. They do bonfires every night and the view in the morning is pretty nice.

Cons: You'd better have earplugs if you are an early sleeper as doors opening/closing and dorms facing communal areas can be very noisy. They start serving food only from 8am although they did serve me before when I asked nicely.

Pros: Sweet hostel If you're ok with having less privacy (some noisyness) it's a good option to stay in Ooty ☀️

Cons: The female dorm is close to the kitchen and common area, why it can become very loud and noisy til night time Even with asking food was too spicy, though it's nice to have an option to eat 🙏🏼

Pros: Very beautiful property with colonial architecture. Views from the hostel over Ooty were beautiful and staff were friendly and helpful. The town is a 10mins walk from the hostel and hostel has a great food service with yummy local dishes

Very nice

Pros: Really nice property with a beautiful view of the city. The staff are very friendly and well-behaved. Rooms are clean and neat. I got a chance to meet new people, interact with them, and learn from their experiences. The campfire area and balcony are also very nice.

Cons: However, the blanket provided was not clean and had a bad smell — it seemed like it hadn’t been washed.

Great Hostel!

Pros: Great old colonial house with lots of character, our room was in the loft and it was a great place to stay. Nice clean bed and bathroom.

Cons: Breakfast took quite some time to be made despite ordering through the app as advised. After about 25mins waiting for our coffee we asked where our breakfast was they said one food item we ordered was unavailable, it would have been better if they had told us when we had originally ordered it, instead of just ignoring the order as the kitchen staff were just on their phones in the kitchen. Other staff were friendly and helpful.

Comfortable stay with clean facilities

Pros: Location was good, staffs were all helpful , rooms were near and clean with comfortable bed and most importantly clean bathroom. Would really revisit in future.

Cons: Though space was available still not allowed for small party, solo travelers come mostly for this though i respect hostel decision to not allow but it's allowed in another hostel at same location could be

Pros: Overall the property and the stay is really good. Food is decent.

Cons: Toilets could be cleaner.
