Rastafari - The Backpackers Hostel

Excellent, peaceful hostel with a stunning rooftop

Pros: This is an excellent hostel in Ooty. It is beautifully designed, and the highlight is undoubtedly the rooftop space with fantastic views – perfect for watching the sunset, relaxing, or getting some sun. The hostel is clean and has all the essential amenities: reliable hot water, good Wi-Fi, and a power outlet by each bed, which makes charging devices very easy. I was lucky to have a room with a balcony. A very convenient touch is the water cooler providing both hot and cold water. Note that breakfast is not offered, but I used food delivery services without any issue. The location on a hillside is quiet and peaceful, making it a truly relaxing place to stay, though be prepared for a short walk uphill.

Worth The View

Pros: The location is a bit on the edge of Ooty but the view is definitely worth it. You can see all of Ooty from the terrace. Camp fire is amazing if its not rainy :p

Cons: The slightly off-road path to reach the hostel, 50 metres at max

One of the best in Ooty

Pros: One of the best hostels in Ooty. Just a bit far from Ooty city centre but it’s still totally worth it. In a nice location, overlooking some tea gardens and fields with scenic views. If you are coming from Coimbatore it’s in the way, just get off near the location and walk a few hundred metres. The ambiance of the hostel is very cool and cozy. There’s so many bunk beds in there.

A room with a view

Pros: My stay at Rastafari was simply excellent. The location is a little difficult to reach but it is worth the effort. The view from the terrace is just awesome. The rooms are clean and tidy. Smells fresh all the time The most important aspect are the owners who run the show. Amarendra and Antra are by far the best hosts I have seen. They spent most of the day from their busy schedule to take me around. They made me feel right at home. Keep it up guys !!!!

Cons: Nothing comes to mind.

Gold stay

Pros: Good accommodation uphill. Nice views from the hostel. But one has to climb up the hill to reach the hostel. Response and amenities are good. Food delivery is available.

Cons: No wash basin in open spaces. One has to go to wash room for even hand wash

Pros: Good but Not spacious..if u r staying in room daytime kindly avoid

Pros: The location, facilities and the Vibe. The rooms are clean and the house keeping was exceptional. The access to the property is a bit challenging and thrilling... They arranged a campfire on the top and enjoyed staying there. Made a couple of good friends 😀

Cons: The rooms are too cold. A Room heater could brighten up the space.

Pros: I like the view and silent free zone from the city . For ltong stay it is a good place with a comfortable bed and Surrounds

Cons: Need to give daily cleanup of restroom

Pros: One of the clean and neat rooms I've ever seen. The property owners are very friendly.

Pros: It was wonderful experience and staffs are very good.

Cons: Everything is good and staffs are very cooperative.
