Pugmarks Jungle Resort

Pros: Hospitality at its best. Staff take care of you as family. Recommend the place.

Pros: Pugmarks has a nice array of things to do just there within the resort. It’s a quiet spot, with a coffee plantation to stroll about, a birds chorus for a wake up call in the morning, a well thought out pool to splash in, and a couple of swings for the kids. The host and staff are all warm and accommodating, and full of suggestions of things to do in the area. We appreciated their willingness to accommodate our little fussy eaters at meal time. The host can suggest and arrange for interesting activities in the area.

Pros: I've had a wonderful time at Pugmarks and will definitely return. The location is wonderful buzzing with various wildlife both day and night, it really is a sight to behold. The staff are wonderful and have looked after me brilliantly. From the amazing food on offer to organising my day trips they even cooked my favourite meal on my last night. I really can't recommend Pugmarks Jungle Resort enough. Loved it!

Cons: No sockets near the bed for charging or light switch.

Lovely secluded property

Pros: The views from the tree house were lovely. It was very peaceful and relaxing. The staff were also really helpful and kind.

Excellent place for a jungle lodge experience close to Kabani River/Kuruva Island!

Pros: The location is great! The property is surrounded by forest from three sides which gave us a feeling that we were staying in the middle of the forest. Gopa Varma (owner of the property), Shinoj and other staff were always available for any help/guidance. We had breakfast and dinner at their restaurant during our three days stay. The food was excellent with good choices. I really enjoyed the morning walk to the forest with Gopa Varma, who shared some of his interesting experiences living in the middle of the forest area. Overall it was a wonderful family holiday experience staying at the Pugmarks Jungle Lodge. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a no frill jungle lodge experience at a reasonable price.

Cons: The bathroom didn't have a shower curtain, as a result water spillover to the toilet and wash area. Even though the room interior was good, the cupboards/shelf etc., could be improved a bit.

Pros: The location was amazing. Despite looking out over some small scale arable land it really felt like we were in the jungle. With birds, monkeys, squirrels in the trees around us the whole time it was hard not to smile. The constant sound of all of the wildlife was very entertaining, day and night. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and incredibly polite, accommodating our every need. The food for breakfast and dinner was some of the best we had in India and we would thoroughly recommend eating here for every meal. We did some lovely walks from the property, once taken through some adjacent jungle by the owner whist he explained some of the conservation efforts occurring in the region.

Amazing stay in the middle of nature, highly recommended

Pros: We spent 6 nights at Pugmarks and have come back rejuvenated, thanks to the tranquil atmosphere, great weather, simple but comfortable accommodation and exceptional hospitality. The owners are friendly and passionate about wildlife, adventure and nature conservation. We were very well looked after by the attentive staff. The food was great too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return soon.

Cons: It’s a jungle lodge, so don’t expect resort like facilities. Bring your own stuff - toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, hair dryer, etc. Lunch is not served usually, but you can order in from nearby places that deliver.

Beyond recommended!

Pros: Really wouldn't know where to start to praise this place! The people were beyond lovely, nice and kind and very helpful on any need or request, making you feel welcome and almost like a family member. The location absolutely fantastic in the middle of the jungle with chances to see elephant passing by from your balcony (if you are lucky). The room...absolutely fantastic, very comfortable and with a jacuzzi facing the jungle right on a tree house...what else?!
