Exellent in all respects.

Pros: This was the best homestay we have enjoyed in a month in India. Our hosts could not have been more friendly, relaxed and accommodating. The home cooked food for breakfast and dinner were both authentic and enjoyable. Travel by tuk tuk from the station takes about 20mins (R300) is easy and our hosts provided a phone number for the driver to find the property. The beach is less than 5 mins walk and superb for lazing and swimming.

Cons: Nothing - a wonderful relaxed experience.

Pros: Wonderful supportive and friendly host (Shreeraj and Jhoti) in very beautiful settings. Great homecooked, authentic food.

Cons: Nothing … ants in the bathroom, but that reflects the very rural setting and was a minor thing.

The India I was searching for in the jungle

Pros: This was a true gem of a find Not only is the host a very kind and agreeable person, but he is also a fantastic cook It is a shame I couldn’t spend more time here, but the two nights that I did have one of the highlights of my whole six week trip to India Admittedly, it’s a little hard to find but if you follow the instructions, it takes you down a beautiful five minute path from the end of the road through the jungle You can forget the sound of traffic horns and listen to the creatures of the night outside your room within the distance the soft sound of crashing waves as the beach is just a five minute walk away I cannot recommend it highly enough

Cons: There was nothing I didn’t like about the property even the lizard was welcome in the room. And thank God I didn’t see any spiders

Great getaway

Pros: The location is excellent if you want a proper getaway. It’s near Thottada Beach which is completely natural no stalls or shacks. The walk to the beach at sunset and sunrise is gorgeous. You have to access the property from the nearest road via a 5 minute walk. Sometimes that is a little tricky with your luggage in the dark! Hosts were lovely- helped us remove a large spider from the room and food was tasty! The host also helped arrange for us to see a Theyyam ceremony- absolute highlight!

Cons: It’s quite a way from the nearest town so evening meals and breakfast were necessary to have at the guesthouse. 400 INR if you aren’t a fish/egg eater per meal feels a bit expensive.

Pros: Everything! I loved it and will come back again if I get the chance. It's very welcoming, great food and a beautiful clean beach. Because there is no direct road access, it is very quiet, and I could hear the surf from my room.

Cons: I can't think of anything.

Perfect location besides a river next to unspoiled beaches with a friendly and helpful host

Pros: Superb location very peaceful, the food was delicious and different meals every day. The host couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly.

Cons: Would recommend booking air conditioned room as our room got very hot at night, everything else was perfect.

Wonderful place and host, full recommendation.

Pros: The location is close to the sea, full of local flora, away from city buzz. The host and staff were very attentive, easy to reach anytime if needed. They offered fresh home cooked food. Perfect place to unwind and relax. If you want to visit local attractions instead - no problem, the host is very knowledgeable and can arrange transport. Loved my stay and will visit again.

A wonderful regenerative stay !

Pros: The most peaceful location, right by Thodatta Beach. Great walks along the beach. Wonderful food and Stephen was the most gracious host Not to mention the hangers in the wardrobe !

Cons: Nothing !
