Cranganor History Café & Riverside Château

A peaceful and comfortable stay in stunning surroundings

Pros: Beautifully kept resort, friendly staff and delicious food! We really enjoyed beyong so close to the river.

Cons: Bear in mind traffic can be quite busy - trips to Fort Kochi and Allapuzha backwaters took a bit longer than planned.

Pros: Professional helpful staff, service levels, location, cleanliness, choice & quality of the food.

Hidden gem!

Pros: Literally everything. The staff, the surroundings, the activities offered, the massages… the food! Amazing!

Cons: Nothing I did not like

Beautiful, relaxed, riverside stay

Pros: We had a phenomenal family stay at Cranganor during the December holidays. I'm not sure what I expected, but I went there hoping for peace, calm, quiet, time to connect with family - we got all that and more. The staff is lovely and very considerate, the rooms are comfortable, the property is just gorgeous, and the food is delicious.

Cons: One of the street lights kept shining inside the room during the night.. and there was no way to block the lights

A wonderful peaceful place to spend a few days and explore the area.

Pros: I recently stayed at Cranganor History Cafe & Riverside Chateau, for my last night in India after 9 weeks of travelling. A great final stop & a place I would like to have stayed longer. It’s in a great location on the backwaters north of Kochi, with a lovely garden, swimming pool and hammocks slung between shady trees. There is a lot to explore in the area as well. The two rooms that we had were lovely, with very comfortable beds, nice linen & great bathrooms with good showers. On to the food… delicious! Unfortunately we were only there long enough for one lunch & supper. For supper we had a Kerelan prawn curry & fish (kingfish) baked with spices in a banana leaf. Both were excellent. A huge plus are the staff at Cranganor - who are all so friendly, helpful & kind and really create the lovely atmosphere there.

Pros: It was like an oasis.. serene and very attentive staff. We came directly from the mountains, and we loved everything about it. It is perfect for the airport where we were going in the morning. Our daughter forgot some items on the terrace at the room and nothing was too much trouble sending to the next address down south were we were staying next! Thank you very much!!

A fantastic relaxing beautiful place to stay. With excellent service.

Pros: We loved our stay here. The staff were all amazing and so kind to our children. The food was excellent and the yoga too. We also had two lovely canoe trips on the river. It was the perfect spot and so beautiful along the river. Definitely want to come back. Thank you to all the staff.

Pros: The whole building and services were beautifully curated and thought out. Accessto the pool and the time prepared meals with access to a Ayurvedic spa was very appreciated. Yoga was offered and I availed of that 2 mornings. Great way to start your day. They also arranged a driver to go into Fort Kochi and this was a great service. Wonderful stay here.

Cons: There was nothing we did not like. Thank you again.
