The Green Hotel

If you’re looking for a relaxed, friendly space its ideal.

Pros: Beautiful hotel. We stayed in the annex which was comfortable if basic. The garden area is well maintained with a bar and restaurant serving delicious food. There are covered seating areas for shade and staff are always on hand in case you need drinks etc. The heritage house provides a cool refuge to sit and read in their library or to drink tea in their cafe- open until 10 pm. We spent a whole day drawing and enjoying just being in the space. Mysore Palace is a 15-20 min tuk tuk ride away. Highly recommended.

Cons: Hot water a bit erratic- just run the tap for 10 mins!

Lovely setting with charming rooms.

Pros: The hotel looks lovely and although some further renovation could be done, it looks utterly charming. The staff were all very helpful, particularly the night manager who sent useful whatsapp messages on the day we were due to arrive. It was really nice to be able to eat outside in the restaurant with its covered and uncovered sections.

Cons: There is nothing they can do about this, but with a large road directly outside it is quite noisy apart from during the very early hours of the morning. (However, this meant equally that it was easy to find transport into the city.

Pros: The staff at reception were very helpful and and accommodating Allen Sir was warm, courteous and hospitable. He was attentive to concerns and had a supportive attitude

Pros: I love this place. The staff are wonderful and the building is beautiful. Special recognition to ShivaShankar who is the best rickshaw driver. He is always punctual, safe, kind and a pleasure to know. If you need to go anywhere or help with anything he is brilliant.

Pros: The staff are wonderful, the building is beautiful. This is in my opinion the best hotel in Mysore. I recommend it fully and wholeheartedly.

Comfortable and beautiful staff that felt so welcoming

Pros: My favorite part about the property was the staff. They were incredibly helpful and personable with every interaction. I am a single, female, foreigner traveler and felt very very comfortable.

Cons: There was a movie shooting going on and the bus was right outside of my room window, so it was not so quiet. I had to call the reception at 11pm to ask him to keep everyone quiet.

Pros: A heritage house with lots of charm and history. Very lovingly furnished and decorated with antiques and historic items. Lovely coffee shop. Very nice location to sit in the garden and have a drink

Cons: The bathroom fittings were not the newest and warm water took a long time until it reached the tap. From the room the sounds from people in the hall and stairs were very loud
