Maharani Hotel

Overall good experience

Pros: The first thing I like about this hotel is the location, near the railway station, Beach & Market. Everyone knows about this hotel. The staff are really good & helpful. You can easily book your cab from your hotel! Auto options are also available!

Cons: A few things I noticed, which I think needs to be improved! Wifi issue, wifi is not working at all!! Breakfast options are very limited! Suggestion - Put some nice fragrance inside the corridor & room it will enhance the overall vibe!

Cons: Lots of mosquitos in the room No electric kettle in the room Fan speed was either very slow or very fast Lots of noise till late from outside the room A bit far from the center

Staff Hospitality & behaviour, food, and Room was excellent.

Pros: The breakfast was just average. Location is excellent. Any taxi or auto in the city knows hotel Maharani very well. Just by name they will take you to hotel. its a traditional well known hotel. Management agreed for a bit late check out upon my request. Thank you for the help.

Cons: It took 15 minutes to complete the check out process because of some system glitch!!

Overall, good experience at reception and dining rooms.

Pros: Prompt room service when ordered for tea and eateries.

Cons: hinches in bath room door and second entrance door to room not properly fixed so that those doors hit lous when wind blows heavily during raining. Took dinner for one day only. Dinner was fine, but coridoor path to the Ootupura on that day was crowded with smokers and felt suffocated. Please provide exclusive smoking area for those coming in Bar and engage somebody to help those coming for dinner move hassle free.

Good hotel with English-speaking staff.

Pros: Friendly, helpful English speaking reception and restaurant staff made this an easy and good value for money stopover on our train journey north. Food was enjoyable as was the beer that accompanied dinner! Maharani is a short tuk tuk ride from railway station, very clean and well maintained. We will definitely return!

Cons: Nothing to dislike, rooms are bigger and better than expected, air conditioning was fierce and everything worked except hot water early in the morning, as often happens. Not a deal breaker!

Pros: The hotel is very clean and very spacious, the staff are very friendly and very helpful, the reception staff could not help us enough, very kind, I'd highly recommend staying here as its close to everything, it's very clean and everybody works very hard I'd definitely be back here as I loved the location and the people

Cons: Only thing I didn't like was the Indian breakfast, but my partner loved it, and they even made him an omelette

Excellent staff and great support

Pros: Nostalgic breakfast - loved it I would like to share what a fantastic support the manager Mr Jose and frontdesk staff Me Bipin provided at a time we needed their help most. My husband fell while getting down from the car; all the staff rushed in to help and Bipin stayed with us throughout the time we were in hospital; even bringing water/ food; and he refused to accept money ge spent from his pocket. Never can we forget his kindness.

Pros: Great location, clean and comfortable,friendly staff

Pros: Located close to city center , rooms were spacious and clean . Hotel staff were curtious and helpful. Breakfast, room service is good.

Cons: Wifi was very bad , in spite of configuration changes , modem restarts by hotel staff the signal strength remained very poor inside my room.. Could not work or check emails from hotel . Finally I had to use my GSM hotspot.

Pros: The deluxe room was spacious and even had a dressing room attached. The location is central and the staff are helpful. The 24 hours checkout policy is quite generous. The food in the restaurant downstairs is quite decent.

Cons: In the evening smokers crowd outside the bar to smoke. It would be good if the hotel could create another designated smoking zone for them.
