Seclude Karthika Nivas

Lovely relaxing historic property.

Pros: Beautifully newly renovated and maintained 150 year old Keralan property . The staff were very helpful and attentive, particularly the manager . They had an excellent cook and the food was some of the best we had had during 2 months travelling throughout India . It is secluded about half an hour drive from the Thrissur railway station , adjacent to a small river with a rich variety of birds including peacocks. There is a very refreshing newly constructed pool . An excellent stopover whilst journeying through Kerala .

Pros: Very beautiful and aesthetically decorated. It’s modern at the same time very traditional! We loved it Food was exceptional! Don’t miss the payasam / Pradhaman. Mr Bimal and team go out of the way to make it comfortable for us.

Pros: A weekend spent pampered to the limit. We spent the last weekend in Seclude Karthika Nivas-Thrissur, a small 5 room boutique resort. We were lucky to be one of the few guests who have used the resort, in which renovation is still going on. A very well restored old “Nallu Kettu”, what stands out is the way it has been tastefully nursed back to glory. Spacious rooms, clean and neat bathrooms, wonderful food, easily accessible from the highway, the list goes on. Food here must be preordered. Chef Sashi has a wide array of options from authentic north Indian delicacies to south Indian spread, food was wonderful and big thank you to him. Property Manager Bimal was the key to the reason why we enjoyed our stay so much. He ensured that we were completely taken care off, pitching in with his thoughts on how to spend time and repeatedly checking with us if we were comfortable, huge shout out to him. Last but not least the housekeeping was impeccably handled by Mari, thankyou Mari.
