Vala House

Pros: A tranquil place to spend a few days at the end of a busy touring trip. Views over the lake were stunning. Rooms spotless and confortable. Staff available to help when needed but able to enjoy peace in communal seating area. Breakfast was delicious. Great location for beach. Some good restaurants locally and not too far from the airport.

Don't miss out if you're staying in this area. Don't miss the chilli out Cafe 2 km away for sunset.

Pros: The location, the staff, the room, the breafast. Everything was wonderful. Savinay, Asha and Shiji were so kind and fun to talk to and helpful for whatever I needed. The location is absolutely serene and beautiful. I Walked out of my room and there was an eagle just sitting there before it flew away, the views of the river and the Chinese fishing nets was wonderful. And the sunrise!!! And sunset over the ocean a few minutes walk away... Oh and the shower!! Fabulous water pressure too and lovely big shower!

Vala House exceeded my expectations!

Pros: Vala House exceeded my expectations! The pictures dont do justice to how beautiful this property is. The room is very spacious and nothing sort of luxury stay. The breakfast was so homely and filling. Our room's view was the beautiful backwater that felt private too. It opened to a cozy backyard where we enjoyed our evening. You can order food from nearby restaurant which came quick and was again delicious. Would love to stay longer next time :)

Pros: After having panchakarma Ayurveda, I wanted to stay somewhere for a couple of nights to rest and slowly integrate myself before taking an international flight from Kochi airport. Vala House was the perfect place. I actually only left the property once in a two night stay! Enjoying the private garden, enclosed terrace and beautiful decorated bedroom with a view over the lake. Thank you for a lovely stay! I'll certainly be back

Simplicity, calm, nature, serenity, a beautiful place to rest

Pros: A unique remote location by a beautiful lake, plenty of calm, serenity and nature. Staff is absolutely welcoming and will help you the best they can if you have any request (they found for us a scooter on a short notice for instance).

Cons: Pillows are a bit too big and hard, it would be great if they had bikes available as it is a great way to explore nearby.

Beautiful retreat to connect with oneself and nature

Pros: The location and view from room was awesome. The staff was very helpful and its a perfect getaway from the noise of cities. Serene and calm.

Pros: From the moment me and my mother arrived, we were greeted by a smile. The room was above our expectations and the cleanest room I’ve stayed in in India. View was stunning, staff was amazing, breakfast was great and overall experience was far above expectation. I deeply recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and overall lovely experience in kerala! 11/10

Serene and beautiful

Pros: Amazing stay in a serene location. Rooms were very clean and comfortable with bathrooms with great showers. Overlooks a beautiful lake which you can kayak on and a couple of minutes walk away from a secluded sand beach. Tasty and plentiful breakfast provided with snacks and drinks provided throughout the day.
