Would re visit. Great location and staff. Everything we needed - pool great

Pros: On arrival we were immediately upgraded to have breakfast included during our stay at no extra cost. The location was great for bird watching from the comfort of our veranda - we saw more birds and wildlife from our accommodation than we did when we visited the 'official' bird sanctuary! Bird sanctuary within easy walking distance and also a restaurant/cafe only 500m away Staff were very helpful. Breakfast amazing. Nice clean room - very quiet location - hot water in shower - nice clean sheets and effective air con. Nice to have roof top pool to cool down in. The staff were brilliant

Cons: There were a couple of minor things eg only one towel/no soap in dispenser - but - they were dealt with quickly and resolved almost immediately. Some of the tiling in and around the pool needed attention and maybe a little less chlorine in the water.

Bird watchers delight

Pros: Fantastic location for bird watching. Clean. Helpful staff. Comfortable big rooms

Pros: Fantastic location, short walk to the reserve and many birds around the homestay. Food was really good, staff were attentive and helpful and will try to provide anything you need. The homestay can arrange guided bird watching around the area. Recommend for a good value budget stay.

Cons: Nothing, it met our expectations

Quiet friendly hotel with great birding!

Pros: Great little hotel positioned away from the road (so is quiet) next to small lake is perfect for watching birds right from the hotel terrace. Praveen the manager was really helpful in organising bird guide treks (he’s a guide too). Good AC good Wi-Fi and no barking dogs at night! Breakfast available. Other meals available for restaurant 5 mins walk away. Bird sanctuary gate is 6 min walk away.

Wonderful place for Birders to stay.

Pros: The WiFi was as good as the best anywhere in India - absolutely brilliant and so useful for me. The food was very good and the location is superb barely 400 metres from the Ticket Office to the Bird Sanctuary. The staff help to contact guides and transport to get to hides and other areas for Birding and generally Basil will help with anything you need. Absolutely brilliant place to stay for Birders.

Pros: We liked the place, hospitality & ambiance of the property. Basil was good with full of energy in assisting & supporting us with all our inquiries. We would recommend it to our family & friends. We would plan again to the same property soon. Basil, continue your expedition of hospitality with the same rigor & josh!!!

Cons: We would recommend more trees around the property to make it look greener and a nature-friendly homestay.

Comfortable accommodation in an attractive landscape with friendly staff and delicious food.

Pros: Very clean and safe. Set in an attractive landscape. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Food very good and plenty of it. Ideal birding base as the owner/staff can arrange excellent bird guides, transport and early/late meals to suit your needs. You certainly do get value for money here.

Cons: Nothing really as most things exceeded our expectations.

Calme, nature, reposant, parfait !

Pros: Une halte pour une nuit, très reposante, le cadre est magnifique ! Le personnel est sympa et on a beaucoup apprécié que la chambre soit fraîche quand on est arrivé. Petit resto très bon à 5min à pied. Le sanctuaire des oiseaux, papillons est très sympa aussi. Ce matin, le petit déjeuner terrasse, avec les oiseaux et écureuils c’est génial ! La vue sur l’étang c’est vraiment agréable ! La chambre est propre, confortable, très bonne nuit !

Cons: C’est pas qu’on a pas aimé mais on aurait aimé avoir une carte/un plan pour aller marcher dans la forêt au alentour.

Pros: Ich habe die Unterkunft wegen ihrer Lage an einem kleinen Teich und der Nähe zum Vogelschutzgebiet gewählt. Die Unterkunft war sauber und ruhig. Wie überall in Kerala waren die Angestellten überaus freundlich.

Cons: Das Abendessen wird vom nahen Restaurant bezogen. Man kann aber gut die 300 m bis dort gehen und dann aus einer gut bestückten Karte wählen.Das Frühstück war sehr einfach. Die Dachterrasse und der Pool müssten renoviert werden. Viele Mosaiksteine haben sich schon aus den Wänden gelöst.
