Stunning home stay with a great welcome and wonderful views

Pros: What a find! An outstanding Homestay with hosts that couldn’t do enough for us. Lovely room which had a balcony and 180 degree views across Coonoor and the surrounding mountains - and the sunset of course. Food was great and we certainly couldn’t have gone hungry. All in all, a great welcome and we’d have loved to have stayed longer.

Pros: Exceptionally clean room with comfy bed and beautiful terrace, friendly owner and lovely home cooked food. One of the best places we stayed in India!

Superb - felt completely at home

Pros: What makes a place are the people there. From the owners to the staff (Deepu and Poornima), all were very caring and hospitable. It was really like being at home - helped by the fact that we were for the most part the only guests there. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed and so too did the owners. The location was great - close to the town, yet far enough way. The food was superb and any help needed, for example, getting a driver, was met. Wished we could have stayed much longer.

Cons: Everything was almost perfect. Perhaps a chair or two in the room.

Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was great. We had access to the patio and the balcony, both with views.

Worth for money

Pros: The place is 10 min drive from Conoor town. Very calm and quiet location surrounded by scenery. No city disturbances. 1. Room was clean, spacious with one king bed and kids bed, TV, wardrobe, kettle toiletries, and a fan. 2. Balcony is there but it is closed with mosquito net 3. Hospitality by the owner and care taker staff was excellent. 4. The villa has 4 rooms. One on the first floor and 3 on the 2nd floor. 5.

Cons: If the balcony was open, the night view could have been fat better

A great place to stay while in Coonoor

Pros: Wonderful family run home stay. They gave us good information and the breakfasts and food were wonderful.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Villa, Coonoor. The stay was extremely comfortable, and the villa itself is spacious, neat, clean, and very well maintained. The balcony view was absolutely amazing and made the experience even more special. The hosts went the extra mile by beautifully setting up the balcony with candles and cushions, which created a perfect and cozy vibe. The hosts are very warm, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel at home throughout our stay. The homemade food was delicious, freshly prepared, and served just right. Overall, it was a relaxing and memorable experience. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Coonoor and looking for a peaceful, comfortable, and scenic stay. 🌄

Perfect place for a relaxing break

Pros: This was a little bit more than I normally spend as a solo traveller but it was totally worth it. Ani has had alot of experience serving people from all over the world and she's able to cater meal choices to the each guests preferences. The food is delicious. The room that I stayed in felt luxurious, had a comfortable bed, my own balcony and a nice view of the hills. Also felt very peaceful there. Preshant was very helpful with info about the local area and on hand if I needed anything or to book cabs & autos. I had an early train on the last day (earlier than normal breakfast hours) and Ani got up early to cook me breakfast 🙏
