Quiet place close to nature

Pros: We had 5 nights at Rock Haven and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet location on the edge of the forest yet only a short bus ride to Kalpetta. 10rs each way The host could no be more helpful with itineraries to get to see local landmarks ready if needed. Breakfast was home made and delicious.

Beautiful green oasis near Kalpetta

Pros: A green and quiet oasis with clean rooms, a lovely swimming pool and amazing views of the mountains. Attentive, friend and kind owner.

Cons: Cleaning the room without prior consent.

A haven of tranquility

Pros: Rock haven is a haven of tranquility in a very green surrounding. Close to Kalpetta, but not nice to walk there on the busy road. Jubin the host is very nice and helpfull, he took us on a nice walk and arranged trips for us. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Cons: Food is basic.

Idealer Ausgangspunkt um Wayanad zu entdecken

Pros: Eine steile Strasse am Ortsrand von Kalpetta führt zum schön gestalteten Anwesen Rock Haven. Das helle, grosse und sehr saubere Zimmer ist funktional eingerichet. Es fehlt an nichts, es steht aber auch nichts überflüssiges herum. Auf dem Anwesen gibt es verschiedene Orte, wo man sich zurückziehen kann. Hier fühlte ich mich schnell zu Hause. Zu verdanken ist das auch Jubin, dem perfekten Gastgeber. Er ist aufmerksam, aber nie aufdringlich; hilfsbereit und immer zur Stelle, wenn man ihn braucht, aber auch zurückhaltend; gesprächsbereit, aber nicht geschwätzig. Dank den Ausflügen, die ich mit Jubin unternehmen konnte, die von ihm vorgeschlagene Wanderung und durch die interessanten Gespräche mit ihm bekam ich einen guten Einblick in diese ausserordentliche Gegend Wayanad. Und die Köchin Girija hat mich jeden Tag mit ihren Kochkünsten überrascht. Ich kann Rock Haven jederzeit empfehlen.
