The Hosteller Kodaikanal

Pros: This is a great place to stay and I found the surroundings incredibly lovely. Do go to Sera's café, it's a nearby hilltop café and you'll get amazing views from there, especially at sunset.

Cons: Some things were a little too digital. For example, if you want to enter your room, you need to enter an OTP that changes every two hours. Every two hours? Is that really necessary? It's a hostel, not a bank. I also didn't understand why they use paper boxes and plates in their café instead of washable ones when the village REALLY struggles with waste management.

Pros: The Property,which is The Hosteller,Kodaikanal is a very aesthetically done home away from home. It is actually located about 8 kms from Kodai town and so less noise,crowd & pollution. The rooms,cafeteria,library & games room are tastefully done with the interior decorations. The Beds are big and comfortable. Food is available, but comes with a slightly high cost. Special mention of The Hosteller@Kodai,property manager Mr.Souvik Saha,who made sure all my needs & concerns were addressed to,right from the time I checked in to checking out. Full marks to The Manager Souvik Saha & his team for my memorable experience at The Hosteller,Kodai.

Cons: There was hardly any warm/hot water in spite of the dorms washrooms having huge water boilers in every washroom. I stayed here for nearly 2days/2 nights and inspite of switching on the water heaters for nearly 10-15 minutes there was hardly any hot water to have bath. Just imagine in the peak of winter, there is hardly any hot water to have bath, in such a massive property. Something wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
