Great location, perfect place to unwind

Pros: The location is splendid and the views are mesmerizing. The rooms are moderate size, neat and clean and well kept. It is a perfect place to unwind amidst Nature. The caretaker and other staff were extremely helpful and did their best to make our stay the best they could. The home cooked food is very good. We would return here again.

Cons: The last stretch of about 500 meters is little narrow and steep. Was not a problem for me, however if you have just started driving and not used to driving on hilli terrain, would recommend coming here with an experienced driver. Actually it is nothing to complain about, offbeat places are usually like this only, and the remoteness makes these places peaceful.

Great place, deep in the countryside.

Pros: Lovely place set among coffee plantation and countryside. Comfortable, clean and we were well looked after by the manager, Harish. Many other reviews praise his kindness and thoughtfulness. And we agree. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the local food experience. The place is in the country and getting there takes a bit of effort (we don't have our own transport). We did a hike into the mountains, with a jeep arranged by Harish. Nice hike but entering the national park seems very expensive for foreigners (1000 rp).

Cons: Perhaps a little expensive in comparison to other Homestays we have used in India.

Had an amazing stay in fernshils Will for sure come back

Pros: My family and my pet had a wonderful stay here. A special mention to the hospitality and attention to details. The caretaker Harish was always there to assist us and to make sure we were well taken care of. The rooms were tidy and clean. We enjoyed the amazing home food served to us on all 3 days. The property is pet friendly and loved the views we got from our room. I recommend FernHills to any travelling team looking to go to Tadaindamol trek or if you want to just get away from the city and stay in a place little off the main city of coorg. You will be well taken care of and the coffee here is amazing.

A nice quiet holiday home in midst of nature, great host, great food and some time we’ll spent.

Pros: Monappa was an excellent host, he took very good care of us during our stay and made us feel at home. The property is very maintained and the views from the home stay are just stunning. The bbq and bonfire was arranged for us in the evening. The service was very prompt and the food was prepared by Monappa’s mum who is an excellent with the food preparation as the food was very sumptuous and homely. I would highly recommend FernHills Homestay if you want to spend some nice time with friends or family.
