The Isle By Area 707

Pros: From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and approachable, and helped us with everything we needed. Mr Prasad, the chef and staff member there was brilliant and made delicious breakfasts, produce came from their own back yard.

Cons: They do not accept card as payment. We were quoted one price on Booking.com and then were told a different price on arrival. There were also some extra payments which we weren't aware of. Water was advertised as one price but then they charged more, as an example. Maybe miscommunication?

Pros: The countryside setting, so peaceful. The staff were fantastic, they really couldn't do enough for us. The atmosphere of the hotel was wonderful. Comfortable room.

Cons: There wasn't a chef the night we stayed which was unexpected, so we had to go out for food. Also they didn't accept credit cards which again wasn't expected! But even so it was a good hotel in beautiful settings.

Overall experience was exceptional. Great staff, perfect place for Nature lovers

Pros: A short 20 minute drive from the airport but a real slice of heaven. It was a beautiful place to just hang out by the pool and enjoy the sound of the birds. The staff are very attentive and are able to help you with your questions and anything else you might need.

Cons: At the end of my trip I didn’t carry cash on me and they don’t have the option of paying by card. Finally we settled on bank transfer, which was a bit different for me with a international account

Isle by area 707- a hidden jewel to rejuvenate!

Pros: Traditional keralite architecture mixed with great local food, plus sensible facilities at affordable rates. The food was delicious surprise, Soft puttu with kadalai for breakfast, Appam and egg curry; Ayala meen curry, Aviyal, Mangai puli charu, Fish fry with rice still lingers and a must try. The pickle is home made and we got all of this parcelled on our departure-) If you have a vehicle to access the location which is 5 km from Aluva, it's great to spend a leisurely holiday. Of course, you can get Uber vehicles on a call which your reception staff can arrange. Nice staff and cool decor, we were pleasantly surprised.

Cons: Except the river at stone throw where you can bathe, not much in a 2 km radius to entertain you. But peace comes with a price. Besides, Aluva is just nearby. So no complaints.
