Rai’s Coorg Cave House

We enjoyed the stay at Rai’s Cave house and our pet Juno enjoyed it even more!

Pros: Amazing location and nice concept, the cave house! We had a tranquil and lovely stay with our pet. Ideal place for a family with a pet. Caretaker,Mr. Subaiah and his family were very friendly. Food was good. Overall a couple of days well spent.

Cons: Nothing in particular

Pros: This is place for nature lovers.Morning walks are really thrilling amidst coffee plantations.The motorable road almost ends near the cave house.one should walk in the extended bumpy road.After 10 mins,take left turn and find a stream down below.Calm place with lush green forest across.Climb back and continue ur walk.Lo! you are in a narrow lane with plantations on both sides.No permission required. come back ,have good breakfast and go out for nearby places of tourist interest. Return in night to relax,chill and have sumptuous dinner.We stayed for two nights and stay is really memorable. Cave house, living in is a unique experience by itself.Early morning, sit in balcony to hear chirping sounds of birds and sound of stream and watch the scenery.

Excellent Stay in Cave House

Pros: WOW, the place was amazing, Cave house was made very nicely, feel like we staying in different location. Owner of this Cave house is very friendly, informed every bit of information which are available in the Cave House. Food was very nice, everything are home made. I will recommend we should experience with this stay with family and friends.

Wonder Cave stay

Pros: The ambience and the way they have made the homestay, its simply amazing. The waterfall is quite good and private. The facilities available in homestay are good.

Cons: The path to waterfall is damaged and needs repair. Little bit language barrier. The quick bite options should be more clear and should not need pre ordering.

Pros: The way this space is designed, truly a piece of marvellous architecture. The best of Club Mahindra or Evolve Back resorts don’t come close to this experience

Cons: You need to have your car to be able to fully enjoy this space. The drive itself to this place is scenic

Beautiful holiday

Pros: Unique. Beautiful surroundings, with private waterfalls. Owner very friendly, promptly replied to all our queries. Caretaker and family were very nice. They made sure we got everything to celebrate my mother’s birthday in style.

Fantastic setting and location, close to nature

Pros: A great property, with a cool concept. We rented the whole place as a couple. Comes with a nice trail into the coffee plantation that has monkeys at least a dozen bird species. The backyard has a fantastic view and you can walk down to your own tiny private waterfall within 5 minutes. The campfire was amazing sitting under the stars. The host is wonderful, caring and very responsive. Good local dishes made to your liking. They won’t overcharge you, so go ahead and take all their add ons and products.

Cons: It was quite hot in March, and the power kept fluctuating but not a deal breaker. Communication with the caretakers was a little challenging due to language issues but manageable.

Pros: The food cooked by the hosts is great! The place truly exceptional and will meet your expectations of experiential stays. Must visit if you’re coming over to coorg

OUR STAY WAS SUPER DUPER!!!!

Pros: The location is excellent. Truly this property is for Nature Lovers. This place is for families who love nature. You wake up to birds chirping, trees swaying, and the sounds of rapids and the river water flowing. The food is very good, both veg and non-veg. The owner of the property (Mr. Rupak Rai), personally ensures that his guests have a good stay. For those who are working on their holidays, the WiFi connection is Excellent. We did not experience any power cuts. All in all a SUPERB property. I would highly recommend this place to NATURE LOVERS!!! The barbeque and Bonfire were the highlight of our trip. We requested the caretaker of the property to arrange it for us. (of course, you have to pay for the meats/veggies). TRULY A JUNGLE EXPERIENCE 15 mins away from Coorg city.

Cons: Yes, the bathrooms desperately need a revamp. There was a sewage smell leaking into the bathrooms which became a bit of a nuisance. If blankets could be placed in sealed plastic bags after they were laundered, that would be a plus point. As we were skeptical about using the blankets, thinking of who used them before us because they were just folded and kept on the shelves.
