Exceptional homestay with personality

Pros: A wonderful stay on Cherai Beach at Majo House. Such a friendly and truly personal vibe from Mickey and his team. Would have loved to stay for longer. Lots of care taken and the lovely team go above and beyond. Yoga in the morning on the breezy roof terrace overlooking the Arabian Sea is a must.

Cons: Nothing. Only that a ceiling fan on the terrace would have been great.

Majo House is more than a b&b, it’s an experience - a gorgeous place, decorated with style & offering delicious breakfast - it’s somewhere with a fun & quirky atmosphere, warmth & generosity, somewhere you don’t just meet people, but you make friends, not a business, a labour of love.

Pros: We stayed with the Majo family for 10 days over Christmas and it really was magical. Mickey, Mahesh & Patricia were the most amazing hosts, taking us to yoga every morning, with masala tea and banana fritters on the way home. Everyday we had a homemade breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs and toast. We felt so well after our stay, it was almost like a retreat. Mahesh took us on a beautiful tour of Kochi, where we saw the Cobra Temple and backwaters. Nothing is too much trouble at Majo House, the beach, restaurants, the shops, everything can be arranged at the drop of a hat. We looked forward to our evening meals with Mickey & Patrica, sharing the most wonderful stories and knowledge of the local area. January hit us hard after such a warm and colourful stay at Majo House. We miss all of our hosts at Majo and one day hope to return. Thank you xx

Pros: Just a wonderful few days at Majo House . From the start Mickey & Mahesh made us feel welcome & were great company . The rooms are beautifully decorated & just across the road is the Arabian Sea . Micky took us to the best restaurants and is known & loved in Cherai beach . Lovely place to be!

Pros: The room was very comfortable, clean, everything needed was there and the breakfast was AMAZING, delicious, made with love. The owner, Mickey, is an angel, kind and present, a lovely person. Mahesh was a blessing as he took us everywhere we wanted to go with his rickshaw, always on time, he knows where to take you for whatever you wish (please don't forget to give him money for his efforts as he will never ask for anything). I highly recommend this place and will myself be back.
